Subject: Please Challenge the Election

Dear Senator Boxer:

I think you're a wonderful person and terrific legislator! Some of the legislation you have sponsored has helped me personally, and I thank you for that!

I'm writing due to concern about the most recent presidential election. Every day I see information about voting machine errors and other voting discrepancies. I see that several Representatives have stepped forward, led by John Conyers, to challenge voting results. It's sad that in this day and age we can't get voting right - many machines with no paper trail or where the votes were just lost. Are we a 3rd world country? How can we ship Democracy overseas when we can't even get it remotely right ourselves?

I hope that you will challenge the "voter fraud" issue in any way you can, and any time it comes up in the Senate.

• Use combinations of internet campaigning along with a website nexus which is devoted to furthering our objective of seeing a lot of letters hit our senators.

• Although starting out as a primarily internet campaign, we will continue to seek out and leaflet public events that draw people likely to be supportive to this letter writing campaign.

• We will continue to seek contact with local groups already working along similar lines and work with their efforts as we work to further ours. In many cases this will be mutual aid.

• We urge the reader to involve their friends. Its not the internet that's the best communications medium. People are the best communications medium. If you feel this letter writing campaign's goals are worthy, then tell your friends.

• We urge the reader to utilize our letter and print out a few announcement flyers to hand out to other people they know who would be supportive.

• We will contact local event organisers and solicit mention of our campaign on their websites, to their email lists and their supporters.

• Contact local organizers, organisations and groups asking they lend their support and join in the letter writing campaign.

• Remain open to any and all discussions as to how to best go about filling or refining our objective.

• To target both CA Senators equally with our writing Campaign as part of a broad overall objective to reach out to the entire Senatorial Body that belong to the Democratic Party
  and urge them to stand in masse.

• We base our strategy to target both California Senators equally in the letter writng portion of the campaign because we think that being Diane Feinstein is up for re-election in 2006, whereas Barbara Boxer has just been re-elected, that Diane Feinstein's re-election bid will be a large factor in Mr's Boxer's decision making process in whether she speaks out or not. In othjer words if she remains persuaded that her standing up would hurt Diane's election chances, she might not go for it eeven if she believes it would be the right thing to do.

  One way to help this situation out is to include Diane Feinstein in the plea to stand.

  However, we reserve the real heat for Mrs. Boxer. Simply because we feel she is the better California Senator, more in tune with the voices and needs of the people of California than Mrs. Feinstein is.

• Our objective is to be a part of a movement of concerned and caring citizens approaching
  their concerned and caring Senator. To petition her and lay out our case. That we can and will persuade Barbara to Stand Up and Contest.

• Or failing that, as the Investigation proceeds and the enormity of this most recent depradation against democracy comes to light, as it is inexorably doing. If such be the case, then we are here to find her fully accountable of gross civic negligence.

• We intend to join in an effort that is already forming or has formed a delegation to seek direct appointment with Mrs. Boxer.

• We intend to bend our every effort to help effectively contact, lobby, educate, persuade Barbara Boxer in the short time remaining to do so. Our form letter has generated enough interest and use that this is how we feel we can best fulfill this objective.

• However if all else fails and Mrs. Boxer does not beforehand signal clear intent to stand, we also advocate taking out a full page advertisement in the LA Times to "communicate" our case to her.

• This as well as other forms of putting visible public pressure on her. This would include picketing her offices if her responses are not genuine.

• And last but not least, we will be there if such a time occurs, and she does stand up, in strong public support of her stand.

I attended and passed out 20 Write Our Senator Announcment Leaflets and 40 Election Theft Info Broadsheets to the rally participants. The leaflet and the idea behind it was well received. This was my "test it" phase. It passes. Our site statistics confirm it. I go home and start developing the campaign for real.

I have been working on connecting with local activists through events held by local groups, leafleting their activities to get the juice going for a letter writing campaign. We'll see what happens.
